Operations of the Telekom Slovenije Group during the first six months of this year

Pursuant to paragraph 1 of Article 17 of the Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on market abuse (market abuse regulation) and repealing Directive 2003/6/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Directives 2003/124/EC, 2003/125/EC and 2004/72/EC, Article 136 of the Financial Instruments Market Act, Rules of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and the valid legislation, Telekom Slovenije, d.d., Cigaletova 15, Ljubljana, hereby publishes the following notification:

At its 13th ordinary session held on Friday, 20 July 2018, the Supervisory Board of Telekom Slovenije, d. d. discussed the unaudited business report of the Telekom Slovenije Group and Telekom Slovenije, d. d. for the period January to June 2018.

The Telekom Slovenije Group generated EUR 363.0 million in operating revenues during the first six months of this year, which was 1% more than planned. Net sales revenue was also 1% higher than planned and amounted to EUR 360.0 million. Due to EU regulations, the Telekom Slovenije Group is faced with higher operating costs and lower revenues on the mobile segment of the end-user market.

During the first half of this year, the Telekom Slovenije Group generated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of EUR 100.9 million, which is at the planned level and equal to 28.0% of net sales revenue. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) amounted to EUR 16.8 million.

The Telekom Slovenije Group’s operating expenses totalled EUR 346.1 million, similar to the level recorded in the same period in 2017.

Following the calculation of income tax (including deferred taxes), the Telekom Slovenije Group generated a net profit of EUR 14.5 million during the first half of this year.

The Telekom Slovenije Group earmarked EUR 48.5 million for investments during the first six months of this year, primarily for the modernisation, enhancement and development of broadband fibre optic networks and the mobile network.

Even after the payment of dividends Telekom Slovenije, d. d. has at its disposal sufficient liquidity reserves to ensure the company is highly liquid.
