Luka Koper Supervisory Board on Plans for 2007

At its 16th regular session, on 20th December 2006, the Luka Koper d.d. Supervisory Board was introduced to the public limited company's business plan for 2007.
The objectives set for 2007 envisage a continuation of the positive trends achieved in this year's international operations, as well as the further implementation of the company's business strategy. In addition to handling an anticipated 13.9 million tonnes of cargo, the most important goals include increases in the volumes of containers, vehicles and general cargo. Particular attention shall be paid to the optimal exploitation of cargo-handling and warehousing capacities.
Revenues from services are anticipated to be in the region of 22.9 billion tolars, namely 3% ahead of the 2006 level. Operating profit is expected to amount to 4 billion tolars, and pre-tax profits 5.3 billion tolars.
Investments in plant and premises shall total 19 billion tolars, the most significant portions of which shall be encompassed by the onset of construction work on a new covered garage warehouse facility with a capacity of 12,000 cars, the acquisition of additional container-handling equipment, construction of new premises for bulk cargo warehousing, and a motorway connection to the new entrance of the Port area.
The Supervisory Board also discussed and endorsed the purchase of real estate from BTC Terminal Sežana d.d. in the frontier town of Sežana near Trieste.
