Janko Medja, President of the Management Board & CEO resignes

Today, on 5 February 2016 NLB's Supervisory Board convened on its 30th regular session to review the Bank's current operations and was informed of the irrevocable resignation of Mr. Janko Medja, President of the Management Board & CEO.

Mr. Medja offered his resignation in consensus with the Supervisory Board and stressed “ I cannot continue to carry our my responsibilities on the grounds of certain differences in views with the Bank's owner. I am proud of the achievements that have been reached within the past three years together with the management team and with all the employees. We have witnessed the most challenging period of restructuring of the Bank's operations, its revival and we started to gain our customers trust again. Today NLB is a different bank – achieving positive financial results, stable operations and has become competitive on the market - thus being prepared for the crucial project in the future – to be privatized«.

Mr. Gorazd Podbevsek, President of the Supervisory Board added “today Supervisory Board accepted Mr. Medja’s resignation with consensus. NLB Supervisory Board considers the Bank to be stable and fit for fulfilling all its operations.”

The Bank will be managed by three members of the Management Board coordinated by Mr. Blaz Brodnjak.
