NLB d.d., Ljubljana and NLB Banka AD Skopje Sell 100% Shares of NLB Nov penziski fond AD, Skopje to Sava Re d.d., Ljubljana
Today, March 13, 2018, NLB d.d. together with its subsidiary NLB Banka AD Skopje sold 100% shares of NLB Nov penziski fond AD, Skopje to the buyer Sava Re d.d. on the Macedonian Stock Exchange. NLB d.d. owned 51% shares and NLB Banka AD Skopje was the owner of 49% shares.
In March 2017, NLB d.d. and NLB Banka AD Skopje authorised NLB d.d., Corporate Finance, to carry out an open and transparent sales procedure selling a 100 % stake of the shares of NLB Nov penziski fond AD, Skopje. As part of this sales procedure, a sale and purchase agreement was signed on 12 December 2017 between NLB d.d., NLB Banka AD Skopje and Sava Re d.d. selling 100 % of the shares of the target company, on the basis of which the sale was closed today, after having met the suspensive conditions, covering among other the required consent by the Competition Ombudsman and Macedonian Agency for Monitoring Capital Pension Insurance (MAPAS). The ownership of the target company’s shares will be transferred to the buyer on 14 March 2018.

NLB Banka AD Skopje is one of the largest and most important banks in the NLB Group and by further developing its operations, the NLB Group will additionally strengthen its operations in the Republic of Macedonia in the future. Successful collaboration between the target company and NLB Banka AD Skopje continues as the bank will continue to offer services of this pension company in its branches.
