Trading in 2015

Year 2015 experienced some drops but also some encouraging numbers. The Ljubljana Stock Exchange benchmark index SBI TOP finished the year negatively after three consecutive positive years. Moreover, also turnover and equity market capitalization decreased in comparison to the previous year. On the other hand, the year 2015 was one of the most successful years as regards issuing of bonds and commercial papers. 

In 2015 Slovenian listed companies lost value. The LJSE benchmark index SBI TOP was down 11.2% year-to-date after three consecutive positive years and is standing at 696.15 points on the last trading day.

The total LJSE turnover in 2015 amounted to EUR 393.06 million, down 42.7% compared to 2014. Turnover without blocks amounted to EUR 294.19 million, down 36.1% compared to 2014. The majority of turnover comprised equity deals, which amounted to EUR 333.67 million or 84.89% of the total turnover. According to turnover structure, bonds followed with 14.22% and commercial papers with 0.89% share in total turnover.

The most traded share in 2015 was again Krka (KRKG) from the Prime Market, which generated 36.79% of the total equity turnover. The second largest contributor to overall annual equity turnover was Zavarovalnica Triglav (ZVTG), which generated 10.79% of all equity deals, while the third most traded company was Pivovarna Laško (PILR), which contributed 9.38% of all equity deals.

In 2015 also the total equity market capitalization, which amounted to EUR 5,523.22 million, decreased due to equity price decreases.

In 2015 LJSE had 10 new bond listings, which were issued in the total value of EUR 2,883.96 million. In addition, there were 6 issues of commercial papers in the total amount of EUR 109.26 million.
