Supervisory Board Discussed Report on Petrol Group's and Petrol d.d., Ljubljana's Results for the First Three Months of 2017

Ljubljana, 18th May 2017 - The Report on the Petrol Group’s and Petrol d.d., Ljubljana’s Results for the first three months of 2017 was presented to the Supervisory Board of Petrol d.d., Ljubljana at its 2nd meeting held today.

In the first three months of 2017, the Petrol Group generated the adjusted gross profit of EUR 92.5 million; an 8% increase on the same period of 2016. EBITDA totalled EUR 32.7 million; a 4% increase compared to the same period of 2016. 46% of the Petrol Group’s EBITDA derived from its sales of oil products. Energy and environmental systems accounted for 22% of its EBITDA, sales of merchandise for 17%, other energy sales and trading for 8%, and sales of liquefied petroleum gas for 7%. The Petrol Group’s net profit amounted to EUR 16.1 million, up 15% from the same period of 2016.

In the first three months of 2017, the Petrol Group sold 756.1 thousand tonnes of oil products, which is 6% more than in the first three months of 2016. The Petrol Group sold 525.5 thousand MWh of natural gas, down 4% from the same period of the previous year, and 36.9 thousand tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas, up 5% from the same period of 2016. The Petrol Group also sold 5.8 TWh of electricity, which is 61% more than in the first three months of 2016, and 64.2 thousand MWh of heat, an increase of 10% on the figure for the first three months of 2016. Revenues from sales of merchandise in the first three months of 2017 amounted to EUR 135.5 million, up 7% from the figure achieved in the same period of 2016. At the end of March 2017, the Petrol Group operated 488 service stations, of which 316 in Slovenia, 105 in Croatia, 36 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 10 in Serbia, 10 in Montenegro and 11 in Kosovo.

The Petrol Group will continue with its active sales policy, optimisation of all business processes and efficient risk management. The achieved results show that the Group is successful in pursuing its goals.
