Today the Ljubljana Stock Exchange brought together numerous experts from financial and economic field. The culprit for this gathering was the implementation of the multilateral trading facility (MTF) – SI ENTER market, which was launched precisely on this day and began its, we are certain, successful operation.

The wide participation on the event sent a clear message that the Slovenian capital market is in need of changes and freshness, which the Ljubljana Stock exchange introduced by implementing the new market. The implementation of the multilateral trading facility was a months-long project of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, which finally came to fruition under the management of the President of the Management Board, Mr Aleš Ipavec. On this occasion, Mr Ipavec expressed profound gratitude to all, who attended the event and announced that the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and the Slovenian capital market are facing a bright future and new projects and that the Exchange will, together with its members and other stakeholders, strive to raise the quality of the Slovenian capital market. This is thus but one of the many projects to follow in the future.

The participants were first welcomed by Mr Ipavec and then witnessed a very interesting round table whose guests were Mr Bernik, Member of the Management Board, Ilirika, Mr Sandi Kozina, Head of Trading, GBD; Mr Primož Cencelj, CFA, independent asset manager, KD Skladi; Mr Mitja Tomažinčič, Branch Manager for Trading in Financial Instruments, NLB, and Mr Aleš Ipavec, President of the Management Board, Ljubljana Stock Exchange. The round table was hosted by the expert journalist, Mr Lipnik from Finance Business Daily.

The round table raised many insightful questions and sparked a lively debate; however, in the end most participants expressed their belief that the SI ENTER market represents something fresh, positive and necessary for Slovenia.
