Pursuant to relevant legislation, the company Poslovni sistem Mercator, d.d., hereby informs the shareholders and the public of the following:


Company Mercator, d.d., due to the request of company Arkas, d.o.o., which has been authorized by the banks UniCredit banka, Gorenjska banka, Abanka, NKBM, Banka Koper and Hypo Alpe Adria to execute the process of acquiring offers for the sale of 21.08 percent of Mercator’s share capital, organizes a Presentation to potential financial investors today in its company premises. Representatives of 19 potential financial investors will take part in the presentation. Attached are the slides which will be presented on the event. Guided tour through Mercator’s stores is also organized for the participants. The material is enclosed.


This announcement will be published on the company’s website at www.mercator.si as of January 21st 2010, and will remain posted for a period of at least five years.
