The Ljubljana Stock Exchange is pleased to announce that it has joined the initiative of the Slovenian Directors' Association for a voluntary achievement of target gender diversity in the management and supervisory boards of state owned and listed companies. This is also one of the goals of the sustainable development project under the auspices of the “Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative”, in which the Ljubljana Stock Exchange already participates.

The main purpose of the Initiative is to raise awareness and encourage state owned companies and listed companies to draw up and update, on a voluntary basis, policies on the diversity of management and supervisory boards, which is an important corporate governance institute to achieve various diversity aspects of the bodies’ composition, including a more balanced gender representation.

The Initiative will be publicly presented for the first time at the Corporate Governance Conference 2019, which will be held on 14 November 2019 in Ljubljana, and is organized by the Slovenian Directors' Association. The program is available at:
