On Tuesday, 3 September 2019, the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, in partnership with NLB d. d. and the Czech investment company Wood & Co., hosted the second webinar of the year through the GoToWebinar platform as one of the series of activities for presentation of Slovenian listed companies. Again, the investor’s response was very good. As many as 47 attendees from 14 countries listened to the presentations of Krka d. d., Novo mesto, Petrol d. d., Ljubljana, Triglav Group and Save Re, d. d.  

Given the carefully coordinated date of the event, the topic discussed were the financial results for the first half of the financial year 2019. Mr David Bratož, Member of the Management Board at Krka d. d. opened the webinar and presented Krka’s operations. Petrol d. d. followed as second with Mr Stebernak, Member of the Management Board and CFO, presenting the results of Petrol, d. d. Ljubljana. Presentation of first half year results for Triglav Group was given by Mr Uroš Ivanc, Member of the Management Board and CFO. The webinar’s final presentation was given by Ms Polona Pirš Zupančič, Member of the Management Board, who gave an overview of Sava Re d. d. results.

Judging by the number of participating investors, the event was a definite success, as 47 investors, among them 34 international, participated. The investors came from 14 countries:  the USA, Canada, Lithuania, Poland, Estonia, Bosnia and Hercegovina, United Kingdom, Sweden, Croatia, Bolgaria and Saint Kitts and Nevis.

In a little less than three hours four comprehensive presentations were given, supported by Q&A sections where a plethora of interesting and insightful questions were asked, which indicates that Slovenian listed companies are well-known internationally and are interesting to international investors. This event is just one out of many that pursue goals and activities of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and are organised with the intention of increasing the visibility and exposure of the Slovenian capital market.

The composition and active participation of investors implies high interest of investors in such events, nationally and globally. With this in mind, the Ljubljana Stock Exchange will organise the next webinar in March 2020, which will cover the preliminary results of the companies for the financial year 2020. Until then, the companies will present their operations and strategies on the investor conference ‘Slovenian and Croatia Investor Day’ organised by the Ljubljana and Zagreb Stock Exchanges on 10 December 2019 in Ljubljana.
