The Intereuropa Group exceeded planned performance indicators in 2020 and ended the year with a profit.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Rules of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and the legislation in force, Intereuropa, d. d., Koper hereby publishes the following announcement:

Koper, 11 March 2021 At today’s session, the Supervisory Board was briefed on unaudited information regarding the business results of the Intereuropa Group in 2020. The Intereuropa Group exceeded planned performance indicators in 2020. Despite the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Intereuropa Group ended the financial year with a profit of EUR 3.6 million.

On the basis of unaudited data, the Intereuropa Group generated EUR 150.7 million in sales revenue, a decrease of 6% relative to 2019, but 8% above planned revenues. The Intereuropa Group generated EBITDA of EUR 12.3 million, a decrease of 12% relative to the previous year, but 21% higher than planned. Operating profit (EBIT) amounted to EUR 5.8 million and was down 23% on the previous year, but 120% higher than planned. Despite the adverse operating conditions, the Intereuropa Group ended the 2020 financial year with a net profit of EUR 3.6 million, a decrease of EUR 0.6 million relative to the previous year, but EUR 2.3 million higher than planned.

Net debt amounted to EUR 44.4 million at the end of 2020, a decrease of EUR 10.0 million relative to the end of 2019. This was seen in an improvement in the net debt / EBITDA ratio, which stood at 3.6 at the end of 2020 and was 7.3% lower than at the end of previous year.

 

Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, Intereuropa Group companies implemented all necessary measures in 2020 to limit the further spread of the virus and to maintain the health of employees. Despite the adverse conditions, companies provided comprehensive logistics services to numerous customers from various economic and other sectors, and thus facilitated the smooth functioning of the supply chain. In 2021, the Intereuropa Group will continue to implement activities to  achieve the objectives set out in the Strategic Development Programme of the Intereuropa Group until 2025.
