INTEREUROPA, d.d., Koper

Operations of the Intereuropa Group during the first quarter of 2023

Pursuant to the provisions of the Rules of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and valid legislation, Intereuropa, d. d., Koper hereby publishes the following announcement:

The Supervisory Board of Intereuropa, d. d. discussed the Unaudited business report of the Intereuropa Group and Intereuropa, d. d. for the period January–March 2023 at its session on 25 May 2023.

On the basis of unaudited data, the Intereuropa Group generated EUR 46.5 million in sales revenue in the period January–March 2023. That figure was down by 1% relative to sales revenue generated during the same period last year and 4% lower than planned. During the first quarter of this year, the Intereuropa Group generated earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in the amount of EUR 3.6 million, which was at the level recorded during the same period last year but 1% higher than planned. Operating profit (EBIT) amounted to EUR 1.7 million during the first quarter of this year, and was 14% higher than planned but down by 15% relative to the same period last year. The Intereuropa Group generated a net profit of EUR 1 million during the first quarter of this year, which was 12% higher than planned but down by 22% relative to same period last year.

The Supervisory Board was also briefed on the proposal to convene the General Meeting of Shareholders of Intereuropa, d. d. and agreed with the aforementioned proposal.

Business conditions in 2023 are gradually improving relative to 2022. Even supply chain problems are gradually easing, despite slowing economic growth in the euro area during the second half of last year. According to the forecasts of international institutions, economic growth is expected to strengthen gradually in Slovenia and its trading partners, while foreign demand is also expected to strengthen. Uncertainty due to the war in Ukraine continues to have a negative effect on business conditions.

The Intereuropa Group responded to the adverse conditions through the accelerated implementations of certain development projects, and will continue to strengthen marketing activities and provide logistics support to customers along the entire supply chain over the remainder of the 2023 financial year.

This announcement will be published on SEOnet and on Intereuropa’s website at www.intereuropa.net for a minimum of 5 (five) years from the date of publication.
