Maritime throughput in the first half of 2010

In the January – June 2010 period the total maritime throughput reached 7,780,824 tonnes, which is a 22% increase compared to the same period of 2009. In terms of tonnage the biggest increase was registered on the Container terminal (+46%) and Car terminal (+32%) which respectively handled 221,841 TEUs and 175,394 cars.

In the mentioned period sales revenues were not proportionate to the growth of the cargo throughput because of the faster turnover of the cargo and consequent lower incomes of warehouse fees. In accordance with the financial calendar the full first-half business report for 2010 will be published at the end of August.
