Velenje, April 22, 2016 – The Supervisory Board approved yesterday the audited Annual Report of the Gorenje Group and its parent company for the year 2015. For the first time, the Report is drawn up in compliance with the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) international sustainability reporting guidelines. The Supervisory Board was also presented the sales growth figures for the first quarter of 2016.

After discussing the unaudited financial statements on March 11, 2016, the Supervisory Board of Gorenje, d.d., approved at the 20th session held on April 21, 2016, the audited Annual Report of the Gorenje Group and its parent company for the year 2015. No material discrepancies were found between the unaudited statements and the audited Report. For the first time, the 2015 Annual Report is compiled in compliance with the GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) international sustainability reporting guidelines.

Very solid sales in the first quarter of 2016

At the same time, the Supervisory Board was presented the sales growth figures for the first quarter of 2016. As forecast, the positive sales trend from last year's fourth quarter extended into this year's opening quarter. Sales of major and small domestic appliances in the early months of the year, which are normally the weakest part of the year in terms of sales, were up 8.4 percent relative to the last year's comparable period, while total Group sales in the period grew by 6.5 percent.

The Gorenje Group business report for the first quarter of 2016 will be released on May 20, 2016.
