Biography

Milan Žiaran finished his studies on Czech Technical University in Prague at Faculty of Nuclear Science and Physical Engineering, specialization Mathematical Engineering. He began his career in 1996 as Risk Manager in Komerčni Banka in Prague. In 2001 he became a leader of Collateralized Debt Obligation and Credit Derivatives team within Market Risk department of Komerčni Banka, which in the meantime became a consistent part of Group Société Générale. In 2004 he moved to Paris to head Société Générale’s Vanilla and Exotics Credit team in Market Risk department. In 2006 he moved back to Prague in Komerčni Banka from Group Société Générale and was appointed a Head of Capital Market Risks department and afterwards Deputy Head of Credit Risk Assessment department. In 2013 he relocated to Bucharest in BRD Bank and was appointed Deputy Executive Manager of Risk Division. In 2016 he moved to Ljubljana, where he was appointed Chief Risk Officer.
