Pursuant to the provisions of the Rules of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and the legislation in force, Telekom Slovenije, d.d., with its registered office at Cigaletova ulica 15, Ljubljana, hereby publishes the following announcement:

At its 25th session held on Tuesday 27 August 2024, the Supervisory Board of Telekom Slovenije, d.d. discussed the unaudited business report of the Telekom Slovenije Group and Telekom Slovenije, d.d. for the period January to June 2024.

The Telekom Slovenije Group is successfully meeting its targets and continuing to increase its user numbers. As at the end of June 2024, the Telekom Slovenije Group had 4% or 73,020 more retail mobile users and 2% more fixed retail broadband connections than in the same period last year. The Group is increasing its user numbers in both Slovenia and Kosovo.

The Telekom Slovenije Group generated EUR 350.1 million in operating revenues in the period January to June 2024, an increase of 4% relative to the same period in 2023.

Sales revenue totalled EUR 346.6 million, an increase of 4% relative to the same period in 2023. The Group recorded an increase in revenues on account of growth in the number of users and higher sales of IT merchandise and services, while revenues from financial, eHealth and insurance services and revenues on the wholesale market were also higher.

Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) amounted to EUR 38.7 million at the Telekom Slovenije Group level, an increase of 7% relative to the same period last year.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) totalled EUR 121.4 million at the Telekom Slovenije Group level, an increase of 4% (or EUR 4.2 million) relative to the same period in 2023. The EBITDA margin (i.e. EBITDA as a proportion of sales revenue) was 35% at the Group level.

Following the calculation of income tax (including deferred taxes), the Telekom Slovenije Group generated a net profit of EUR 29.6 million, an increase of 25% (or EUR 5.9 million) relative to the same period in 2023.

For 2024, the Telekom Slovenije Group is planning operating revenues of EUR 717.4 million, EBITDA of EUR 233.6 million and net profit of EUR 43.2 million. In the first half of the year, we successfully achieved our goals by increasing number of users and increasing sales in various business segments, so we believe that we will meet our plans. The estimate of operations for 2024 will be published on November 13, 2024, in accordance with the financial calendar.

The Telekom Slovenije Group earmarked EUR 79.7 million for investments in the first six months of the year. The Telekom Slovenije operates the largest fixed and mobile network in Slovenia. More than 470,000 Slovenian households are already connected to Telekom Slovenije’s fibre optic network. The company is laying the foundations for further development by constantly upgrading and modernising the entire network with the latest technologies, strengthening its competitive advantage and putting in place technological support for the continued provision of secure, reliable and modern telecommunications services that meet the latest trends and user expectations. As part of a comprehensive modernisation process that aims to increase coverage and strengthen capacity, Telekom Slovenije has increased the capacity of its mobile network by more than 30% and its 5G network nearly threefold in the last 18 months. It covers 98% of the population with its 4G network, and continues to improve that network, while more than 65% of the population are now able to access the 5G network. In 2025 Telekom Slovenije will provide 5G coverage to 99% of the population.
