At its 32nd regular meeting on Wednesday, 14 May 2025, the Telekom Slovenije Supervisory Board reviewed the Unaudited business report of the Telekom Slovenije Group and Telekom Slovenije, d.d. for the period between January and March 2025.
Telekom Slovenije has reached a significant milestone – it has the trust of more than a million mobile service users. The continuous growth in the number of users reaffirms that Telekom Slovenije addresses the needs of users, both residential and business, with clearly focused sales and development activities and best services on a high-performance network. Connectivity, adaptability and reliability remain the foundation of the range of services, which today connect one million users across Slovenia.
As at 31 March 2025, the Telekom Slovenije Group had 1,979,861 mobile retail users, which is 4%, i.e. 82,045 more than on 31 March 2024. As at 31 March 2025, the Group had 317,447 fixed retail broadband and TV connections, which is 4%, i.e. 12,429 connections more than on 31 March 2024.
Sales revenue amounted to EUR 171.7 million, which is 2% more than in the same period of 2024. Revenue increased due to the growth in the number of users and higher sales of IT goods and services, while revenue from financial services, eHealth and eCommerce also increased.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) amounted to EUR 61.8 million, which is 4%, i.e. EUR 2.1 million more than in 2024. The EBITDA-to-sales ratio at the Group level stood at 36.0%.
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) amounted to EUR 19.2 million, which is 4% more than in the same period last year.
Following the calculation of corporate income tax with deferred taxes, the Telekom Slovenije Group had a net profit of EUR 14.3 million, which is 18%, i.e. EUR 2,2 million more than in the same period of 2024.
Despite the positive financial results, business operations are also affected by regulatory conditions in the market. A comparative analysis of the regulation of incumbent operators in European Union countries shows a trend of deregulation of telecommunications operators. Telekom Slovenije consistently strives to mitigate regulatory obligations in line with this practice.
The announcement will also be available on the company’s website (www.telekom.si) for a period of at least 10 years.
