Ljubljana Stock Exchange hosts Webcast ‘Slovenian Listed Companies Online’

On Wednesday, 24 March 2021, the Ljubljana Stock Exchange in partnership with Wood & Co., hosted the first webinar of the year through the GoToWebinar platform. Following positive feedback from market participants on such events, six of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange blue-chips decided to participate in this edition: Krka d.d., Novo mesto; Sava Re, d. d., Ljubljana; Petrol d. d., Ljubljana: Triglav Group, NLB d.d. and Cinkarna Celje d. d., Celje.

Given the carefully coordinated date of the event, the topic discussed were the preliminary financial results of 2020. Webcast was opened with a presentation of NLB d. d. financial results, given by Blaž Brodnjak, President of the Management Board. As second, Mrs Polona Pirš Zupančič, Member of the Management Board presented the financial results of Sava Re d. d., Ljubljana. She was followed by a presentation of Krka d. d., Novo mesto, given by Mr. David Bratož, Member of the Management Board. Next presentation were financial results of Petrol d. d. Ljubljana, given by Mr. Matija Bitenc, Member of the Management Board and CFO. Next, Mr Uroš Ivanc, Member of the Management Board and CFO presented the results for Triglav Group. Last Mr Aleš Skok, President of the Management Board, presented preliminary results of Cinkarna Celje d.d., Celje.

In three hours six comprehensive presentations were given, supported by Q&A sections where a plethora of interesting and insightful questions were asked, which indicates that Slovenian listed companies are well-known internationally and are interesting to international investors. This event is just one out of many that pursue goals and activities of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and are organised with the intention of increasing the visibility and exposure of the Slovenian capital market.

Judging by the number of registered investors, the event was a definite success, as more than 180 investors, among them 74 international, participated. The investors came from 23 countries, i.e Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Republic of Kosovo, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Serbia, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and of course, Slovenia.

The composition and active participation of investors implies high interest of investors in such events, nationally and globally. With this in mind, the Ljubljana Stock Exchange will organise more Webcasts this year.
