Central Securities Clearing Corporation decision regarding execution of share split

We inform interested public that on 30 August 2007 Krka, d. d., Novo mesto (Krka) received the decision by the Central Securities Clearing Corporation (KDD) dated from 28 August 2007 with the following content:

1. In the central registry of dematerialised securities the information relating to the shares with the symbol KRKG and ISIN code SI0031102120 is changed. The information for nominal share value (SIT 4,000.00) is replaced with the information on share no par value (each share 1 piece).

2. In the central registry the additional amount of 31,883,508 shares with the symbol KRKG is entered due to the split of 3,542,612 shares with the symbol KRKG. As a result the total number of shares increases ten times.

3. The shares in the 2nd paragraph are transferred to the accounts of those shareholders of shares with the symbol KRKG who are entered in the central registry on 31 August 2007 (record date). The transfer is executed by adding additional amount of KRKG shares on the account of each shareholder. The additional amount is equal to 9 times the number of KRKG shares on the account of each shareholder on the record date.

4. The entries in the central registry from previous paragraphs are executed by 3 September 2007, 9.00 am at the latest.

We also inform the interested public that on 21 August 2007 the Securities Board of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange adopted the decision with a suspension condition stating that due to the share split the number of KRKG shares in a quotation will increase and that the temporary suspension of trading relating to the share split is not necessary. The decision of the Board was publicly released on 22 August 2007 trough SEOnet electronic public information system of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.
