The Intereuropa Group ended the first half of 2020 with a profit

Pursuant to the provisions of the Rules of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and valid legislation, INTEREUROPA, d. d. hereby publishes the following announcement:

Koper, 27 August 2020. At today’s meeting, the Supervisory Board was briefed on the unaudited business report of the Intereuropa Group and Intereuropa, d. d. for the period January–June 2020. The Intereuropa Group generated sales revenue of EUR 73.5 million during the first half of 2020, a decrease of 9% relative to the same period last year. The main factor in lower sales was the COVID-19 epidemic. Despite the adverse conditions, the Intereuropa Group ended the first half of the year with a profit of EUR 1.6 million.

The Intereuropa Group generated sales revenue of EUR 73.5 million during the period January to June 2020, a decrease of 9% relative to the sales revenue generated during the first half of last year. All business lines recorded lower sales revenue, primarily due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The Intereuropa Group generated a cash flow from operating activities (EBITDA) of EUR 6.4 million during the first six months of this year, a decrease of 12% relative to the same period in 2019. Operating profit (EBIT) amounted to EUR 2.6 million and was down by 29% relative to the same period in 2019. Despite the negative effects of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Intereuropa Group ended the first half of the year with a profit of EUR 1.6 million.

The Intereuropa Group also responded to the adverse conditions by accelerating the implementation of certain development projects, and will continue to implement enhanced marketing activities and supply logistics support to customers along the entire supply chain through its network of twelve subsidiaries in nine countries in Southeast Europe and the Ukraine in the scope of the Pošta Slovenije Group during the remainder of 2020.
