Telekom Slovenije Group's business results in the period January to September 2022

Pursuant to the provisions of the Rules of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and valid legislation, Telekom Slovenije, d.d., with its registered office at Cigaletova ulica 15, Ljubljana, hereby publishes the following announcement:

At its 6th ordinary session held on Wednesday, 9 November 2022, the Supervisory Board of Telekom Slovenije, d.d. discussed the Unaudited Business Report of the Telekom Slovenije Group and Telekom Slovenije, d.d. for the period January to September 2022.

The Telekom Slovenije Group generated EUR 485.5 million in sales revenues during the first nine months of this year and total operating revenues of EUR 490.3 million, similar to the level generated during the same period in 2021. The Telekom Slovenije Group is achieving higher revenues on the wholesale market and growth in financial, eHealth and insurance services, while the number of mobile telephony connections is also rising in Kosovo, where IPKO recorded an increase in operating revenues of EUR 7.0 million or 13% relative to the same period last year. Telekom Slovenije halted the sale of electricity to end customers, effective 1 January 2022, which is reflected in the associated revenues, while the number of traditional voice telephony connections is falling in line with trends in the sector.

Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) at the Telekom Slovenije Group level amounted to EUR 51.1 million over the first nine months of this year, an increase of 8% relative to the same period last year.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) totalled EUR 174.8 million at the Telekom Slovenije Group level. Had energy prices remained at the 2021 level, EBITDA would have been up 3% relative to the same period in 2021. The EBITDA margin (i.e. EBITDA as a proportion of sales revenue) was 36.0% at the Group level.

Following the calculation of income tax (including deferred taxes), the Telekom Slovenije Group generated a net profit of EUR 39.0 million during the first nine months of 2022, an increase of EUR 3.1 million or 9% relative to the same period in 2021.

The Supervisory Board of Telekom Slovenije, d.d., gave its approval to the appointment of Vesna Prodnik, MSc, for the Supervisory Board member of the subsidiary GVO, d.o.o. Vesna Prodnik, MSc begins her four-year term as a Supervisory Board member of the subsidiary GVO, d.o.o. on 14 November 2022, when she also begins her four-year term as a Member of the Management Board of Telekom Slovenije, d.d.
