The Ljubljana Stock Exchange has again organised its traditional annual event, this time called 'Let's Go to the Stock Exchange & Save', as part of the Global Money Week.

The event took place on 21 March 2023, as part of the global movement behind the Global Money Week. The event aims to promote financial literacy and raise awareness about the importance of saving and investing. The webinar provided participants with interesting and interactive presentations led by financial experts, giving them an insight into the basics of stock trading and investing.

The event was held via the Zoom online platform. At the beginning, Ms. Karmen Pogorevc, Head of Business Development at the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, welcomed and addressed the participants, followed by a presentation by Mr Andraž Aš, Chief Regulatory Officer at the Ljubljana Stock Exchange, on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange and the stock market from the perspective of investing and speculation. The KDD also joined the webinar, where Mr Vid Slamič, General manager of International relations explained their role in the securities market, followed by Mr Vid Pajič, Director of Analytics from Triglav Skladi, who presented investing in mutual funds and gave us a lot of useful information on savings. Mr Alex Engelman Stock Broker at Ilirika Brokerage introduced us to the ABC of stock market trading. Finally, we touched upon the hot and current crypto world, where Mr. Domen Kregar, Digital Asset Manager from Ilirika Kripto Svet showed us how to enter the crypto world and presented the most interesting crypto instruments.

The Global Money Week with the slogan Learn.Save.Earn is an international project whose main aim is to promote financial literacy and awareness among young people from an early age and to gradually acquire the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours needed to make sound financial decisions. This year's Global Money Week theme "Plan your money, plant your future" encourages young people to be future-oriented in their financial decisions and to take a broad view of the environment and society.

The Ljubljana Stock Exchange has thus joined the global movement and the important message it aims to convey. The event was a great success with over 300 pupils, teachers, students, professors and other interested individuals from various educational institutions.
